El Dawi was born in Dakar, Senegal as Ali Naeem El Dawi of Lebanese descent.

He spent his entire childhood in the theatre of his school performing the traditional drumming and dance music of Senegal and imitating actors from his favorite movies at home and with neighborhood kids in the streets of Dakar.

He moved to his home country Lebanon during the civil war in the 80s, where he was pursuing his studies with difficulties and volunteered as a Red Cross lifesaver and ambulance driver for the period of five years.

In 1989, he moved to Zaire (presently known as Democratic Republic of the Congo) to work with his uncle who owned multiple businesses. But unfortunately, he faced another war for one year until he managed to flee the country due to the ongoing violence and kidnapping of foreigners.

Back to Lebanon and after a short stay, he was given the opportunity to move to Canada in 1990, where he was working and persuing his studies.

He currently lives and works in the United Arab Emirates where he enjoys spending time with his family. He is always dedicated to improving his physical fitness and enjoys his handcrafted plant-based foods.

He is one of a growing number of health-conscious consumers embracing a plant-based lifestyle. He does this for the purpose of eating better. It makes him feel very alive and he just loves it.

"A plant-based lifestyle is not a sacrifice, it is a joy. We should never make people feel bad or guilty for their lifestyle choices, even if they reject a plant-based lifestyle,” he said.

While in the United Arab Emirates, he attended various acting workshops and was awarded the title of Certified Screen Acting Professional by American Film Studio Corporation from Dallas, Texas, United States. Soon afterward, he was noticed for his talent and invited to act in commercials and films. He also had the pleasure of acting in Classified (2011), Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Star Trek Beyond (2016), and War Machine (2017).

He has lived many lives in different parts of the world by working in various positions that made him gain a wealth of hospitality and real estate industries experience.

Having cycled through these lives and with his dedication, passion, and self-discipline, El Dawi will continue to take the necessary steps to grow and earn the privilege of living his dream: to entertain and inspire diverse audiences while working with great filmmakers and actors.
