Searching for African voices!

We are commencing casting for voice artists and would like to invite anyone interested to apply.

The project aims to shift negative attitudes and beliefs and to reduce stigma and discrimination towards LGBTS communities. 

Each 5 minute long episode deals with characters within the LGBTS community, their friends, neighbours and family. The Radio Drama will be aired in 5 different countries in Africa, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

To ensure authenticity we are looking for voices that represent the following:

• African SA English Accent, 
• Malawian English Accent, 
• Botswana English Accent, 
• Zimbabwean English Accent
• Oshiwambo.
  
  

CHARACTER TYPES: 

• Young men, 
• Young women, 
• Older men, 
• Older women, 
• Transgender persons.

17 May – 23 May 2018

RECORDING DATES (2018) (Subject to change):  

• South African English Script Recordings: 13 June – 22 June 
• Namibia Oshiwambo: 25 June – 3 July
• Zimbabwe English: 5 July – 13 July 
• Botswana English: 16 July – 24 July
• Malawi English: 26 July – 3 August

FEES: The total fee per episode, per character is R1000.
