PREMISE: A suspicious man follows an unknowing victim through his everyday encounters hoping to consume his identity and take control of his life.

We at Figjam Productions by Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography will be shooting the film from the 24th of August until the 1st of September, at various locations around Stellenbosch and Cape Town. Some people will only work 1-2 days; some will work for more. We work long days, generally 9-10 hours, although you may not be in all the scenes on a given day. We will have an exact schedule later. We hope to not go overtime, but you should be prepared to stay later on the days you work. Auditions will be held on the 14th and 15th of August from 10am until 5pm, at Stellenbosch Academy of design and photography. We will let you know by the 20th of August if you have been selected for a part. If you do not hear from us, it means you have not been selected for this film. Quintin (Victim)

Male, age 33, dark hair. Quentin is a man that has become stuck and content with the slow downward spiral of his life. Having grown up with an unsupportive, sometimes abusive father and an over-concerned and caring grandmother, he experiences internal conflict as to how he should be living his life. He undergoes a psychotic split where a part of himself becomes obsessed with regaining control of his life and turning things around for better or worse. Quentin becomes his own jealous stalker.

Quentin’s boss is a prime example of the conscientious personality type. She is confident, focused and organized. She sees potential in Quentin and wants him to live up to it. She intimidates and annoys him because of how focused and committed she is.

Girlfriend of Quintin

Gender: Female Age: 28 Character breakdown: Quentin’s girlfriend has been friends with Quentin since high school. They started dating in their mid- twenties and have seen the full extent of each other’s personal lives. She knows what Quentin’s home life is like and has compassion with his internal struggles. She is more aware of what he is going trough than he is. She reminds him too much of his caring grandmother at times and causes him to push her away. She wants to be closer to him.

Grandmother

Gender: Female Age: 60+ Character breakdown: Quentin’s grandmother lost her daughter when Quentin was born. She dealt with her loss and sadness by doing hard drugs recreationally. She is by all accounts a wonderful lady that cares immensely for her son- in-law and her grandson. Her over-caring, obsessive nature drove Quentin away from her from a young age as she was the opposite of what his father told him to become- a closed off, independent and unemotional individual.

Father of Quintin

Gender: Male | Age 40+ | Large physical build | Rough facial features | He grew up in poverty. He went to the military at the age of 18. There, he became a Recce and lived through what would eventually have a devastating grip on his life. He lost his wife when Quintin was born and proceeded to take care of his mother-in-law and his son. His PTSD lead to him being unable to connect with the people around him and develop an alcohol addiction. He was abusive towards his son and mother-in-law.
