Actors needed for 20-minute student graduation film in Cape Town

Isabel is a responsible teenager who has been taking care of her grandma alone. She is headstrong and determined, but deep down she longs to be taken care of.

Actress must have good emotional range and be able to pass for a teenager.

Jonah is Isabel's estranged brother. Haunted by the shame of not taking care of their gran, Jonah has run away and exiled himself in the middle of nowhere. He believes that he is not fit to take care of Isabel and that she is better off without him.

The lawyer handling the legal aspects of Granny's death. He brings Isabel her Call to Adventure when he tells her that her brother needs to be her guardian if she doesn't want to move to Joburg.

Rue is a mysterious woman who brings Jonah supplies out in the middle of nowhere, clad in a cowboy poncho. She holds a debt over Jonah's head that leads to a standoff when he tries to leave his house in the wilderness.

Aunt Sharon is a stereotypically tacky Joburg lady with a love for Cruella de Vil-esque coats and stilettos. In Isabel's mind, she is portrayed as the villain but she is mostly harmless in reality.
