Seeking Dancers who can Act - for Children's Series

We are looking for talented actors with strong dancing abilities to appear in a series of children's videos that will be featured in the United States!  If interested, please send headshot/resume to play.sing.move@gmail.com to secure a space in the audition roster for this Saturday, June 23rd and to obtain the full audition brief.  

Requirements: 

• Acting ability
• High energy dancing 
• American accent

The male and female leads will have playful personalities while they interact with other characters and children in a land of make-believe. 

Actors needed: 

• Female aged 18-28 – Energetic, young looking, optimistic character. 

• Male aged 18-28 – Playful, silly, caring and energetic.

Audition Format:

Auditions will consist of 3-4 parts:

1) Choreographed Dance Audition - participants will be taught a short choreographed dance routine and will be asked to perform the routine with a group in front of the casting team. The dance routine will feature elements of contemporary, hip hop and jazz. Dance is a major component of this program, so the ability to dance with joy, passion and technical accuracy will set you apart from others. The ability to learn routines quickly is also a highly desired trait.

2) Memorized Monologue Delivery - participants will be given the opportunity to deliver monologues for each of the characters they wish to audition for. Please see below for character descriptions and monologues.

3) Script Reading with other Characters - participants will be given the opportunity to read script selections with other characters (this may include other auditioners or members of the casting team). Script selections will be provided at the audition.

4) Singing Audition (optional) - if participants have also submitted a singing/voice talent audio audition, they may be asked to sing again so the casting team may hear their voice in-person. In this case, the auditioner will be asked to sing the children’s songs they previously sang on their submitted voice audition recording.
