Robust family comedy with a fair amount of slapstick and comedic action.

Two German families travel to African to witness their children get married. They inadvertently run into trouble
when their bush plane is piloted by an Afrikaans Preacher who is apparently dealing stolen diamonds. When he
gets shot in a hand over, they are left to their own devices. They are hunted by poachers who are convinced that they now have the diamonds, and their fraught trek through the bush to find their children and get to safety, reveals much about their seemingly perfect marriages. Whilst the parents are fending off the great outdoors, Chiara and Jochen, the newly engaged couple, are battling to get their perfect wedding arranged in such a way thatit will be worthy of their elaborate travel blog.

NB Most of the characters will be engaged in some quite physical, comedic action (not quite Schuster but in that vein!)

SHOOT DATES: Mid September for approx 4 ½ weeks.
Locations: Based in Johannesburg

White or Coloured Male. COMEDIC ACTION Afrikaans Speaking Shifty. Shady looking poacher. Gammat’s partner in crime. Second in command, not as sharp as Gammat, but very trigger happy! A real “baddie” In spite of the comedic element, he is a really scarey guy and audience needs to feel that our German couples might be in danger. (He and Gammat are a comic duo so need to look different from one another)

White Male AFRIKAANS Speaking. Tanned, outdoorsy feel COMEDIC ACTION FIRST PRIZE : A German speaking actor Pilot. He looks very cool, with a great voice. A larger than life character, he is a real extrovert. He is clearly a committed Christian and wears a dramatic black priest’s robe and wooden cross around his neck.
